When we arrived home from my doctor appointment this morning, this is how I found Ella sleeping in her car seat.

Ella has been smiling! At first, she would only smile for her daddy- (hmmmm... she knows who to butter up to already, doesn't she!?)......... haha........and now, she's smiling at all of us! We are beyond tickled.
We just got back today from a weekend in Panama City and Ella and I have a packed week ahead!!!! Starting with an early morning meeting at school tomorrow- and an even earlier date at Starbucks. I'm hoping to take some pictures tomorrow, too.

Even if your family does not "have to" save, I say, Why not! I started looking at things a lot differently since I've been "shopping smarter". If this was my business, I would look for every way to save because everything saved is money earned! I'm motivated by the savings because our family has been able to use the money saved in other aspects - like buying a (much needed) new refrigerator, and re-decorating the master bedroom! - (Master bedroom is still in progress but it has been painted a beautiful color and we have many ideas in mind... and money to do it with!) So... why not? Print some coupons and save some money this week. Even if it's just five or ten dollars, that's a gallon or two of gas! See! It's all in how you look at it! :)
Here are some Publix deals this week (Thursday Sept. 25- Wednesday Oct. 1):
1. Birds Eye Voila! Meals B1G1 Free. Use this printable coupon, *print two!* use 1 coupon for each item and get both for around $1.40 each! - great "easy" night meals when you would otherwise do takeout!
2. General Mills Cheerios Cereal $1.99 for 8.9-oz box - Use this printable coupon to get each box for 99 cent each! (limit four).
3. Nestlé Coffee-mate Coffee Creamer On Sale for $2.99 Assorted Varieties, 10.2 or 15-oz bot. Use these printable coupons to get $1 off one or $1.50 off two. (you may have to sign up for this one, but if you're a coffee drinker, it's totally worth it, as these coupons are ongoing!) *this one expires today, hopefully they'll update it with another!*
4. General Mills Cereal - Buy 1 Get 1 FREE - Reese's Puffs, 18-oz - Use printable coupon for 55c off Reeses Puffs here (print two) (you'll get two boxes for around $2.)
Use two coupons on B1G1 Free items to maximize your savings! You are allowed to use one coupon per item, and even though you're already getting that one item for free, the two coupons will come off of the price of the one that you are buying... For example, The Voila! meals are B1G1, orignally priced at around $4.19 each. So, you will buy two, and use $1/off coupon on each item. Since you are getting one free, you are really taking $2 off one... thus, getting them both for $2.19! - This saves you six dollars total :)............ AND since they are "Voila" meals, (quick and easy)... you are really saving because you will end up cooking these on a night when you would otherwise order pizza when you're too tired to cook! -- so I guess it's also saving you pounds too! Ha!

There was a *slight* chill in the air this morning. It feels LOVELY outside. I'm so glad it's cooling down!
Ella and I are headed to the Doctors today for my six week check up. We are then going to do errands. Yesterday we got the house in pretty good shape.
We still have a lot of laundry to do. You would think that I had 10 kids with the amount of laundry I'm doing lately. Ella spits up on at least five outfits a day- so I change her often, and I get spit up on at least twice a day, so I'm always changing clothes, too! What's adding to it also is Camden's new phase of loving to "put on clothes". Now that he knows how to dress himself, he likes to go through his clothes and put on random outfits. This weekend he was walking around in Penguin PJ pants, and his giraffe rain boots! Hilarious combinations of clothing! Joe calls him Frankenstein from the movie Big Daddy... he's hilarous!
Hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures today. :)

These are finally ready to go in the mail today. Took me a bit, but they are ready. I'm a bit behind on everything because of our crazy weekend with no daddy-o... and I'm tired from all that too. I'm so glad my husband is a 50/50 kind of guy- he does SO much for our family. I'm still healing a bit... I think I tried to speed up my C-Section recovery a little too soon and actually discovered that I had split a few stitches... so I'm trying to take it a little easier, all the while trying to get caught up too... Ho-hum!

In this photo, we are dressed and ready to go to the movies and the mall. Daddy has to spend the day at the Emergency Operations Center because of the storms that are brewing and threatening Florida... so it was me, a 3 week old and a 2 and a half year old. A very exciting and enjoyable day ahead, and we started it off with this beautiful photo, a loving kodak moment, don't you think?
We went to see Kung Fu Panda. I invited my sister and her beau to come along. Camden spent the first few minutes thrilled by the size of the screen, then scared because it was so "Loud"... and then he spent the rest of the movie being about as annoying as he could possibly be... up out of his seat, in another aisle, making his Kung Fu Panda toys fight louder than the actual characters were on the big screen... etc, etc. Luckily I had a baby to hold so my sister and her beau got to help control the two year old.... and between Ella wanting to nurse fifty times in the span of a 2 hour movie, and Camden being everywhere but in his seat, I have no IDEA what happened in that movie other than there was a Panda that was doing Kung Fu, and I totally knew that going into the movie, given it's title... LOL.
Unfortunately, Daddy has to spend all day TOMORROW at the Emergency center too-- so it's just us again! I have a few errands to do in the morning and may let Camden play at the park or something. There is NO WAY we can stay in this house all day.
We are praying that the storms in the Atlantic calm down and cool it and leave all of our family across the state of Florida alone....

This is a horrid photo because this is a rare occasion that Ella is moving around and trying to adjust in the sling. This sling that I have is a bit too small so will only be able to be used for the next few weeks. She LOVES it though... slinging a baby simulates movement in utero and is supposed to be soothing and good for the baby. I carry her around all day long, and she really really loves it. I found some of these slings on sale at Baby Snazz and I might end up ordering one because I need a size 4 and this is a size 2!!!!!! There are many on sale for over half the price that they are at hotslings.com. The best thing about carrying an infant in a sling is that it makes you hands free so you can do other things... like chase a 2 year old! :)
Ella Kate is three weeks old today! I've been told by the grandparents to get out the "good" camera... so I did! Here you go!
At a rare time that she was awake.... I was able to take a few photos of her. She is beautiful if I should say so myself.
